About The LA Style Project

Dance music producer LA Stylez has recently released “The LA Style Project”, a collaborative album of 14 songs that were recorded with some of the most famous artists, producers and engineers of Dance, R&B and BigBeat in the world. LA Stylez’s sound is heavily influenced by 1980-1985 West Coast funk, Soul, Electro & Fusion, which he has uniquely combined with modern Dance, R&B and BigBeat into a style that might best be described as West Coast Nu-Yorican Soul.

LA Stylez’s Los Angeles collaborators include the legendary Maurice White of Earth, Wind & Fire, as well as producer Preston Glass, who produced Kenny G’s album ‘Duotones’ and has been awarded over five triple-platinum album awards with artists such as Whitney Houston, Natalie Cole, etc.

In NY, one of the world’s top house music Dj’s Louie Vega of Masters at Work joined in this project. Louie’s MAW partner Kenny Dope also participated as a musician along with his Latin music band ‘Elements of Life’. The incomparable Diva Jocelyn Brown rounds out this all-star New York cast.

LA Stylez also worked with Toronto songwriter Michael Scherchen, who has worked with Beverly Knight, Elisha La’Verne and Shola Ama amongst others.
